Current positions: 2010 – present: Leading Researcher, Laboratory of mutagenesis, Research Center of Medical Genetics of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences 2010 – present: Senior Researcher, Department of Molecular and Biology Physics, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology Current interests: - High order chromatin organization is thought to be one of the powerful epigenetic mechanisms orchestrating nucleus activity. I’m particularly interested in chromatin structure (chromosome territories) in mesenchymal stem cells during growth and differentiation as well as in lymphocytes in norm and under mutagenic exposure. - Nanomaterials are widely used in modern technologies Mutagenic effects are the least understood aspect among all the nanotechnology-associated safety issues. Development of an informative and cost-effective approach to the testing is a crucial aspect of the nanotechnologies progress. - Circulating tumor cells (CTC) could be very promising early markers in oncodiagnostics. Their characterization and developing CTC-based diagnostic test in breast cancer is one of my current priorities. - Translational medicine and technology transfer is one of the most important and challenging tasks all over the world but especially in Russia. I’m focused on diagnostics technology transfer in non-invasive prenatal diagnostics and in cancer diagnostics.
