I've developped a simple interface downloading the informations(cytoband, genes, hapmap...) about a set of SNP from mysql anonymous server at the UCSC.
The software is available at the National Center for Polymorphism Studies (CEPH) as a Java Web start application: http://anybody.cephb.fr/perso/lindenb/tinytools/snpinfo/aschard20081009.php
