Xp22.33 pseudoautosomal region (PAR), containing SHOX and other loci which escape X-inactivation. In hg18, the PAR encompasses ChrX:1-2709520. The region ends within the XG gene. This material is practically identical in sequence to that located on ChrY:1-2709520.
