I'm a postdoctoral fellow in the Lab of professor John T Lis at Cornell University in the USA. I received a Helen Hay Whitney Foundation fellowship to support my efforts in the Lis lab. I work on regulation of transcription, and more specifically pausing of RNA PolII in mouse ES cells. My previous thesis work was related to X chromosome inactivation and was conducted at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and supervised by Dr Joost Gribnau.
